HADRIAN'S WALL TREK

Challenge yourself to trek along 25 miles of Hadrian’s Wall – one wall, one epic charity challenge in just one weekend!

Hadrian’s Wall was built in AD122 on the orders of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, and stretched from the East to West coasts of Britain, from Bowness on Solway in the West to Wallsend in the East. This most ancient of charity treks takes you from Lanercost Priory to Brocolitia, encompassing some fascinating ruins. It is the most remarkable Roman monument in the country, and quite unique throughout the former Empire. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site – which cuts through Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall attracts trekkers from all over, as it offers great challenging walks, filled with a stunning backdrop and history.

WEST HIGHLAND WAY TREK

There is no better way to spend a weekend than on the West Highland Way. Scotland’s wonderful, long distance route follows ancient and historic routes of communication and makes use of Drove Roads, Military Roads and Disused Railway Tracks

This weekend trek follows 26 miles of this ancient path from Rowardennan to Tyndrum via Inverarnan. This hard but rewarding walk will grant us superb views as we wind along the shores of Loch Lomond through ancient forest. The two days of glen and low pass walking amid outstanding mountain scenery, offer real charm and historic sites abound: Rob Roy’s Cave; Grey Mares Tail waterfall; The Falls of Falloch; St Fillan’s Chapel ruins, which date back further than Robert the Bruce in 1318.

INCA TRAIL TREK

The Inca Trail is said to be one of the top ten trekking trails in the world and it’s not surprising why! Peru is one of the most fascinating countries in South America, and with its breathtaking landscapes, stunning scenery and mysterious Inca sites, it’s home to one of the most famous footpaths in the world and one of the best treks charity challenge events can offer – The Inca Trail.

Your challenge adventure begins in the Inca Capital of Cusco – a fascinating city, full of colonial charm, hidden deep in the Andes Mountains. Then it’s off to conquer the one and only Inca Trail that leads to Machu Picchu – the world’s most important archaeological find and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World! There are literally thousands of Inca Trails within Peru and many other charity events sound similar, but there’s only one Inca Trail that leads to the majestic Sun Gate, and then onto the fascinating ruins of Machu Picchu – and this is your challenge – to conquer this original Inca Trail.

This classic Inca Trail encompasses 3 high mountain passes – the highest being 4,200m. The trek will be tough, but upon witnessing the sight of Machu Picchu through the Sun Gate, the breathtaking views across the Andes, and experiencing the history and culture of the Incas, the effort is more than worthwhile!
