Safeguarding and promoting the Welfare of Children who are at risk of going missing or running away.

We support young people to have a voice about why they have been missing from their family home or from Local Authority Care.

Local Policy and National Guidelines ensure that a robust process is in place for all LAC MISPER’s and this includes formal de briefs with the young person upon their return. Although this can be done by staff from within the residential home there is recommendations from Ofsted which indicate it may be best done by an independent party with no connection to the Local Authority, the home or staff working in it.

The rationale for this is obvious and it offers a professional, unbiased assessment of the Young Person to identify interventions to reduce the risk of further MISPER episodes.

All our staff are subject to enhanced DBS checks and trained in various aspects of YP assessment, Achieving Best Evidence Interview’s, Safeguarding, Child Sexual Exploitation, Communication and Report Writing.

A referral can be made 24/7 to ensure we respond within the national guideline time frame of completing a MISPER within 72 hours.

We offer a competitive Spot Purchase Model to suit your requirements. Costs on request.
